GM has announced a restriction on over 40 specific parts found only on the new Z/28 Camaro. This has been done in an effort to prevent cloning. This will ensure protection of the vehicles brand and customers investment.
Dealers replacing parts under warranty will be required to submit specific owners and vehicle information before any parts request can be submitted. Restricted parts ordering will be monitored by the Camaro Program Team and GM Warranty Regional Managers.
After a restricted part is replaced dealers will be required to return the part to GM for analysis and inspection.
