21-year-old Lizzy Musi, daughter of veteran NHRA Champion, Pat Musi, is on her first year of drag racing. She is off to an impressive start for a rookie running a 4.34-second 170 MPH 1/8 mile run Friday at Bristol Dragway.

Unfortunately, she ran into some bad luck when her car got loose and went airborne. During the third round of qualifying, the car started to get loose, turning sideways with the front end of the car crashing into the left wall. Air got underneath the car and turned it around, causing it to topple over the left wall and into the grass at the 1/4 mark on the track. Fortunately, Lizzy was OK and able to get out the car on her own. Thankfully she was not injured.
